In this article, we will learn how to enable “Offline Mail On Gmail” which will enable us to access our emails without internet connectivity.
As we are all aware that Gmail is one of the most used mail services in the world.
Below are the steps to activate the offline mode in Gmail.
First of all, open your Gmail account on your computer being Mac, Linux or Windows
Click on the Settings icon located at the right top corner of your browser as shown above.
Move the mouse pointer to “See All Settings” and click on it as shown above.
Go to the “Offline” tab from the navigation bar as shown below.
Ensure to enable the “Offline Mail” to turn on offline mode for Gmail.
Lastly, click on the “Save Changes” button to save the settings.
Note the following:
- When you activate the offline mode, Gmail will automatically sync your latest emails for offline access and store them for a duration ranging from 7 days to 90days.
- Sending an email in offline mode will not actually send the mail to the recipient but will rather save it in your “Outbox” folder and sent the mail automatically when the user comes online.
