This post presents a well-detailed and comprehensive school management system developed in Microsoft Excel with VBA programming. The system provides solutions to all Basic Schools in Ghana with respect to the entry of students’ class and exam scores, fee collection, issuance of receipts, admission of students, generation of reports for students etc.
The Dashboard of the School Management System has the Home, About, Students (Admission & Student EMIS Data), Teachers (Teachers’ Records & EMIS Data), Fees (Payment Database, Admission & Fees Receipts), Classes ( Creche to Basic 9), Exams Scores (KG 1 Exams Scores to Basic 9), Exams Reports (KG 1 Reports to Basic 9) and SMS (Parents & Teachers)
The School Management System has the following capabilities and features:
- Admin Login
- Each Classteacher Login
- Promotion of students
- Repetition of students
- Send SMS to parents and teachers
- Dynamic Calendar
- Student Class and Exam Scores etc
Admin Login
This feature on the school management system gives the admin full rights to access the features and capabilities of the system. This means that only the admin can have access to the classes from Creche, KG, Basic One to Basic 9. it has the ability to admit students, collect fees, issue receipts, access the class and exam scores of each class, print students’ terminal reports etc.
Class Teacher Login
The system assigns each class teacher a username and a password. Meaning a class teacher in Basic One cannot access the features of a class teacher in Basic Two respectively. This is applicable to all classes. The School Management System prevents unauthorized user access.
Promotion and Repetition Feature
The School Management System has the capability of promoting and repetition of students with a single click. Based on the student’s performance, the teacher has access to options such as promoted, repeated etc to make a selection.
SMS to Parents and Teachers
The School Based Assessment System has the ability to send messages to parents and likewise parents.
